چکیده

This study was conducted to determine the effect of biodegradation on nutrient contents rice bran (RB), cassava residual pulp (CRP), saw dust (SD) and palm oil fibre (POF) by Penicilium sp. RB, CRP, SD POF were subjected solid state fermentation for 7 days process terminated oven drying at 700C 24hours. The fermented samples thoroughly mixed, dried stored in sterile bottles analyses. Results proximate composition before after revealed that percentage improvement crude protein, ether extract, ash, gross energy significantly (P<0.05) higher CRP compared POF. Similarly, reduction highest (P><0.05) other agro industrial wastes products. It evident using Penicillium sp enhanced protein value reduced bran, pulp, thereby increasing availability their utilization as feed alternative ingredients farm animal nutrition. ><0.05) nutrition.><0.05) n

Use of Agro-Industrial Wastes in Solid-State Fermentation Processes

Large amount of wastes is generated every year from the industrial processing of agricultural raw materials. Most of these wastes are used as animal feed or burned as alternative for elimination. However, such wastes usually have a composition rich in sugars, minerals and proteins, and therefore, they should not be considered “wastes” but raw materials for other industrial processes. The presen...

Nutritive Value of Some Agro-Industrial By-products for Ruminants - A Review

Dumping or burning wastes or agro-industrial by-products present potential air and water pollution problems. High-moisture wastes are also difficult to burn. Many by-products have a substantial potential value as animal feedstuffs. Ruminants, especially, have the unique capacity to utilize fibre, because of their rumen microbes. This means that cereals can be largely replaced by these by-produc...

Pectinase Production by Penicillium Viridicatum Rfc3 by Solid State Fermentation Using Agricultural Wastes and Agro-industrial By-products

Pectin lyase and polygalacturonase production by newly isolated Penicillium viridicatum strain Rfc3 was carried out by means of solid state fermentation using orange bagasse, corn tegument, wheat bran and mango and banana peels as carbon sources. The maximal activity value of polygalacturonase (Pg) (30U.g) was obtained using wheat bran as carbon source while maximal pectin lyase (Pl) (2000 U.g)...

Amylase production by solid-state fermentation of agro-industrial wastes using Bacillus sp.

Solid state fermentation was carried out using various agro- industrial wastes with the best amylase producing strain isolated from soil. Different physicochemical conditions were varied for maximum enzyme production. The strain produced about 5400 units/g of amylase at 1:3 moisture content, 20% inoculum, after 72 h of incubation with Mustard Oil seed cake as the substrate. The optimum temperat...

Utilization of agro-industrial waste for β-galactosidase production under solid state fermentation using halotolerant Aspergillus tubingensis GR1 isolate

A halotolerant fungal isolate Aspergillus tubingensis GR1 was isolated from the man-made solar saltern located at Khambhat, Gujarat, India, and identified using 28S rDNA partial genome sequencing. This isolate was studied for β-galactosidase production under solid state fermentation using wheat bran and deproteinized acid cheese whey. The influence of various agro-industrial wastes, nitrogen so...
